Packaging Innovations London 2019 | Cost-effective luxury with a sustainable feel

A unique patented pack solution for luxury drinks will be one of the highlights of rigid box specialist Pollard Group’s stand (E36) at Packaging Innovations London 2019.

The new FOTL (Front Opening, Top Loading) box will be showcased alongside a wide range of high-quality and cost-effective presentation boxes that demonstrate Pollards’ ability to deliver bespoke packaging solutions across a variety of markets including drinks and beauty products, particularly for luxury and gift items.

It enables a bottle to be placed automatically into the box from above. The innovation from Pollards was devised the meet the need for front opening boxes while providing production departments with a method of filling that was more efficient and less costly. Previously bottles had to be placed into a front opening pack by hand, whereas the new box means they can now be filled on existing lines.

Sustainable pack solutions on display include the Pukka Herbs Organic Tea Selection Box, which is manufactured using 100% post-consumer waste cardboard and FSC-certified Kraft paper, litho printed using vegetable oil-based inks and incorporates a foil blocked logo that uses a new zero waste to landfill scheme.
